howdy! my name’s Tiffany Smith, but you can call me .tif (it’s a nickname from graphic design school that kinda stuck, for obvious reasons). i’m a wife, a mama to four kiddos, a gamer girl, a Christ-follower, a pixel-pusher, a CSS princess, an illustrator, and a letterpress printer. i’ve been drawing and making art since i could first hold a crayon, and i still enjoy painting, japanese calligraphy, and letterpress printing. i created my first website sometime in the late 90s. i very clearly remember the green, squiggly animated GIFs it had as part of the header and footer. i will never forget those little squiggly lines … though i’ll admit that the web has come a long way since the 90s and i’m very, very happy about that. armed with a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Florida, i’ve enjoyed being a graphic designer for over 10 years.
i have a passion for branding/identity, specifically for helping you fully visualize your passion. everyone has something inside they want to share with others, be it a product or a service, and i want you to look your best with that valuable, essential connection.
my second passion is print: a tiny little start-up letterpress print shop is growing. one C&P Pilot tabletop platen press and a handsome Showcard Model B sign press call our Richmond, VA workshop their home as well. there’s also a little Howard Imprinting foil stamp machine and a handful of metal typefaces that are clamoring for more use. (i’ve tried my best to keep from collecting type because i know, like potato chips or cats, type will become my crazy can’t just have one more sort of addiction if i let it … well, i think i’m already letting it happen.)
thanks for hanging out with me along the way!
